Inter-Cultural Choir
The LRCC Inter-Cultural Choir also forms the heart of worship arts at LRCC Ministry under the leadership of Charles A. Bannerman. The choir members do not necessarily have to be expert music readers, they must be able to match pitch and commit themselves to learning their music well.
Our entire worship service is planned so that, as a choir, we can give God our best; and yet remain open to the Spirit’s leading as we worship.
• Music is part of our corporate life of worship where we whole-heartedly engage with God, whom we love above all. Through song, we exalt the name of Jesus, we declare His greatness, renew our covenant with Him, proclaim His gospel, and invite His presence into our lives so that we might live for His glory.
• We lift our voices and instruments together as a choir in one unity (one voice), as children of the living God (one heart!). Our only audience is God, our Heavenly Father.
• Our heartfelt prayer is that when we leave the service, we will continue to meditate on the hymns and songs from our corporate worship service, in order that God’s word will dwell in our hearts throughout our week. We sing His praises from when we awaken to when we lie down!
Membership in this choir requires a strong commitment to service for Christ and His body, the Church.
The choir rehearses every Saturday morning from 10 - 11 am in the sanctuary. The choir performs occasionally during special events, Easter, and Christmas musical candlelight (Carols night) service in mid-December each year at the Sanctuary.
